Registration

MERCon 2024 will be held at the University of Moratuwa physically and it will facilitate foreign participants via online platform. The following fee categories will be charged from each paper to cover IEEE payments, payment for paper management system, online conference management systems, and meals and refreshments.

  • Registration fees are given below.

Registration of an author* who is permanent staff member at the University of Moratuwa Please see below note
Presenting authors with local affiliations and IEEE membership LKR 20,000/- per paper
Presenting authors with local affiliations without IEEE membership LKR 22,000/- per paper
Non-presenting authors and other participants for the main conference on the 8th and 9th August LKR 2,000/- per person
Authors with international affiliations and IEEE membership USD 100 per paper
Other authors with international affiliations USD 120 per paper

Note: If the registered author* is a permanent staff member of the University of Moratuwa, please email staff member’s name, employee code, department, contact number, EDAS paper ID and paper title to mercon@uom.lk on or before 20th July to advise the registration details.

Author Registration and Payment Deadline: 24th July 2024

  • Register by filling this form.
  • Arrange the publication payment and e-mail proof of payment (bank slip, online notice, etc) to mercon@uom.lk including paper ID and Title to complete the registration by 24th July 2024.

Participants Registration and Payment Deadline: 30th July 2024

Instructions for registrations are given below

  • Registration fees will be charged as a publication fee from one author per paper and to cover meal and refreshment costs as this is held in physical mode for local participants. Virtual presence is given only for those who are based in foreign countries.
  • At least one author should register and pay the publication fee.
  • All other participants including co-authors are charged the above-mentioned fee to cover the meal and refreshments costs.
  • All registrations include electronic form of conference proceedings, access to conference portal, access to keynote and technical sessions online.
  • Please note that ONE author registration (i.e. Publication fee) will cover only ONE paper.

Payment Method

You can pay via one of the following options:

  • For Authors with local affiliations:
    • Option 1: You may pay to any Bank of Ceylon branch or pay via online banking facilities. Use following details:
      • A/C No - 306836
      • A/C Name - University of Moratuwa
      • Branch - Bank of Ceylon, Katubedda

      Clearly indicate your Name and Telephone number. Use “MERCon 2024-EDAS paper ID” as reason/memo for payment. Please ask the bank teller to print these on deposit slip. If you are transferring via online banking, indicate the reason as “MERCon 2024-EDAS paper ID”.


    • Option 2: To Shroff counter of the University of Moratuwa. Counter is open on weekdays from 9.00 am - 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm - 3.00 pm.

  • For Authors with foreign affiliations:
    • Payment needs to be completed as a bank transfer. Transfer details should be updated in the author registration form or email to the conference secretariat.
